1. From these remarks, describe generally the two sides represented by the
employer and the employee in the issue of freedom of speech in the workplace.
Why did the National Labor Relations Board dismiss the complaint of the Google
employee? Obviously this goes beyond the issue of simply using social media at
work. Do you think it’s easy to draw the line between free speech and disruptive
or destructive behavior? Why or why not?
2. What do you think motivates people to fall into the bully categories described?
Have you encountered one or more of them in your career? What can you do, as
you move into increasingly responsible positions, to avoid falling into one of these
categories?
