Most computer security solutions focus on solving the problem using technology solutions. Technology can work in some cases but in most it simply overlooks the simple aspect of proper training the users in computer security. Many computer crimes such as identity theft, stolen passwords can simply be done by using simple social engineering techniques against over trusting employees. The books in the series; Stealing the Network and Kevin Mitnik’s The Art of Deception explore some of the many social engineering cons hackers can deploy and the human side of the security issue.
The TV show The Real Hustle depicts some of the many cons happening today. Go to The Real Hustle You Tube channel and watch a dozen of the cons they do.

Write a one page summation on each of the three favorite videos you watched. What was the con? How did it affect you? What did you learn? Was this con believable? What would you do to mitigate this? etc. Try to focus on computer related cons if possible.
